Our mission is to raise an independent, critically and creatively-thinking as well as confident person. Currently, we are educating children in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing world. In twenty years’ time they will be functioning in a completely new reality. Taking the pace of change and digital progress into consideration, our main goal is to support the development of skills that have been described as ‘key competences’ (Official Journal of the European Union from 22nd May 2018, C189/2). Simultaneously, we grant our teachers and students the freedom they need to be inspired to be independent, creative, take chances and think creatively. Teacher – student communication is based on understanding, openness and mutual respect. Teachers are mentors who support students in the process of building their self-esteem and responsibility for themselves and others. We stress the importance of learning to learn – students discover the value of knowledge as an integral part of their daily lives.
