PYP Curricular Framework

International Baccalaureate (IB) is an international educational programme founded in 1968 in Geneva. It is considered the best educational institution in the world. The programme undergoes constant evaluation and benefits from the work of various research centres, whose study involve aspects such as the processes of the learning of the brain or adjustment of the programmes to students’ needs.

International Baccalaureate provides students around the world with high standard education within three programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged three to 12, Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16 and IB DP (IB Diploma Programme), which is a course for International School Leaving Examination.

IB PYP means, for us, above all, gaining international perspective and approach to learning and becoming a part of a community that values both local and global activity for the common good and peace in the world. Qualified teachers constantly participate in workshops and work in teams, which guarantees a broad view based on reflection and exchange of experience. An additional asset is bilingualism as teachers have a command of both the English and Polish languages.

The first stage that we are introducing, Primary Years Programme, is dedicated to the youngest students. Its aim is interdisciplinary education. The main characteristics of IB PYP are critical thinking, responsibility, perceiving the world globally as well as locally, the skill of working with people and implementing individual and thought-through decisions.

Schools in the IB system guarantee the possibility of finding a school for children in the same educational system all over the world. It is especially significant for families who travel for work and live in different countries for shorter or longer periods of time. Thus, joining the international family of schools with International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme will offer great opportunities for our students.
